Blairsville Campus Updates
NGTC has signed articulation agreements with nine four years schools in the area.
This means NGTC degree level courses will transfer to these schools if a graduate of NGTC wants to pursue a bachelors degree. These are the schools: Southern Polytechnic, North Georgia College and State University, Piedmont College, Mercer University, University of Phoenix, Emmanuel College, Toccoa Falls College, Young Harris College and Truett-McConnell College.
Converting to Semester System
NGTC is converting to semester system summer of 2011. Work has already begun to convert all course work to semester with spring 2011 being the last quarter under the old system. This will greatly help our students should they want to transfer degree level courses to other colleges.
Setting enrollment records
NGTC Blairsville is still setting enrollment records with 523 students this spring quarter.
Need for new allied health wing
The college has identified the need for a new allied health wing on the Blairsville campus The allied health program has seen huge growth and the Blairsville campus is literally out of room for nursing, EMT and all the other allied health programs. The Blairsville campus is also in need of a biology and science lab in order to offer college level courses in those areas.
